Battle Field of the Mind

Troubled on every side of life, his only long term desire in life was 'peace of mind.'
Hardly does a  day passed by without any form of challenges.

As he opened his eyes from sleep each morning, he's been greeted by sorrows, worries and cares. And from each morning, throughout the afternoon till evening, he's seen worrying about the morrow.
Quietly deep within his mind, he asked himself 'WHY ME'.

As time passed by, days rolled on and months bumped on each other; he felt life was not worth living.
Before that time, the battled field had long been set though he wasn't prepared for the warfare. The enemy delighted and capitalised on his ignorance to hit him sore. And as long as he remained ignorant, he remained the vanquished. 

The vanquisher, having no joy at all, breathed out threats of utter destruction.

With a ray of hope and intense desire for a better tomorrow, he struggled to contest with his adversaries. And with earnest expectations, he looked around for help but found none. The more he tried to find help -- via the  counsels of mere men --the more disappointed and confused he became because no one fully understood the battle in his mind. "Oh, oh, oh poor me. No one seems to understand my mind the way I do and words alone can not fully describe my pains" he sobbed.

Before he could realize fully what was happening around him, he had already been surrounded by terrible forces.
On his right hand side was the General of frustration, the Lieutenant General of disappoint was on the left hand side, the Major General of hopelessness in the front, and the arch enemy himself --Satan --the Field Marshal of death, was behind him. So, Satan began to rejoice that he had apprehended him.

"I say surrender your life to me now..." chanted the field marshal of death. "There is no other way of escape" he continued and then burst into a disgusting laughter "heeee haaa haa ha ha."

At that point in time, it seemed hope was very far from his reach. So, after much considerations, he felt there was no need to go on with the struggle. But just as he was about giving up, a still voice whispered to his heart "son, look up to heaven and pray". At last, he could recognize the source of the voice.

So, he slowly went down on his knees and raised his hands (as though, he was to surrender) up towards heaven far above principalities and powers. With such a move made by him, the arch enemy at that time jubilating with joy, had already concluded in his mind that he was going to surrender unto him but was taken aback when he heard the prayer "Lord Jesus, help me."

Immediately, an unseen force stormed the scene and stroke down Satan and his cohorts on the battle field. At that sudden feat of victory, he was delivered from his enemies but Satan being filled with much indignation threatened a comeback.

Having heard such a threat, he became very troubled and filled with much perplexity. but the voice whispered again with the reassuring words "daily look unto Jesus, therein lies your victory." At that instance he remember the words of Jesus "be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." he later became courageous and then gave a sweet smile with the remark "saved in the hands of Jesus".

Dear friends and loved ones, have you ever wondered why many people in the world today are given over to discouragement. some even get to the extreme by taking their own life and such is the desire of the arch enemy --Satan...Sighed.
The reason is not far fetched --the battle field of the mind.
      Only if we could show some love...
      Only if we could give the right words of encouragement...
      Only if we could let them know that....
Once there is life (in Christ Jesus), there is hope for a glorious tomorrow...Selah
